How is the Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom Lodge Savana view rooms?

We will be visiting June 2 through 6th and we will have a "Savana View" room. Will it be worth our money with a 2 and 3 year old? We have never been to Disney before and want to make a quick trip for our boys. How is the Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom Lodge Savana view rooms?
worth it.... we stayed there in November for our honeymoon, and loved it. we ate breakfast on our balcony and just watched the animals while we ate. My sister has gone with her son who was only 2 1/2 and he LOVED it - seeing the animals at your own hotel is a whole different experience - they will love it. Plus there is a viewing area downstairs for them just sit and watch the animals up close
Great view and high prices. Wonderful pool area. You might skip the actual theme park and make a day of riding the transportation systems monorail and boats around. Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge is a fun place for young ones to have lunch and definitely plan on doing a character breakfast with Mickey %26amp; friends. When you go to Wilderness Lodge or other hotels, you will see signs that say "pool area for guest of THIS hotel only -- ID required." This rule is selectively inforced except at a few of the REALLY snooty hotels, like Grand Floridian. As long as I'm buying drinks, no one ever questions me if I want to hang around pool area at The Contemporary or French Quarter. Almost every pool has at least one water slide. How is the Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom Lodge Savana view rooms?
Kristen, my son and I stayed in a savanna room in February and it was wonderful! He however is 17, and your little ones will not likely appreciate it as much.

I advise families with kids that age to stay at the Polynesian. It is wonderfully kid-appealing and the most convenient of all the Disney World resorts. See this page for more thoughts on where to stay: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-鈥?/a>

Have a great trip!! Dave
I am sure they are fabulous but I wouldn't pay that price to look at animals for the hr we are getting ready to go in the morning. We never spend time in our room when we are at Disney and since you can see the animals from the lobby, why spend the extra dollars. We don't really have money though. We always camp at Disney and spend our money on things other than a place to sleep. I just can't rationalize $375 a night for a bed that millions of other people have slept on and a zoo in the corner. At their age, they will never remember the thousands of dollars you spent anyways. I would stay at value resort, at least until they are old enough to complain that they aren't getting the best of the best. Take advantage of the years when you can get by on very little. How is the Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom Lodge Savana view rooms?
Spectacular! Worth every penny!
You'll truly enjoy the experience. Watch your kids eyes, and how the sparkle.
