You won't really find any deals on booking any better than what you get from Disney's website or from calling them directly. You can search for a Disney travel agent, who are specially versed in all things Disney. Since it is your first trip, that's a good idea. They can help you book the best vacation for you.
You are definitely not too old. I have been going since I was a kid, and now I have my own kids and we all love it. You'll see plenty of people there of all ages.
I would highly recommend purchasing a guidebook or two and also this website to help you start planning: http://www.allearsnet.com
You will have to select how many days in the parks you will have in order to buy the best ticket deal. So check out all the parks first, see which ones you want to visit (they are all worthwhile!), and go from there!
You are never too old for Disneyworld. My friends and I are in are late 30's and 40's and go to Disneyworld all the time.
Dont skip out on anything because you think its for kids. There is really nothing at Disney that is strictly for kids.
I always suggest staying ON property at a Disney resort if possible. It will cost you a little more but the quality of the hotel, especially the value, is better then anything outside the resort. Expect if your staying at a marriott or Hilton.
By staying at a Disney Resort you can take advantage of Disney Transportation and Extra Magic hours. EMH are extended hours designed just for resort guest only.
The hardest thing to explain is the feeling you get by staying at Disney Resort. Its like you never left the theme parks. The resorts are incredibly themed and so much fun in themselves. Your surrounded by the Disney Bubble the whole trip. Its an incredible experience.Walt Disney world ages and what to do when we get there and affordable rates?
Nope not too old. I took my kids, age 18 and 23, and we had a blast.
stay at a WDW resort for a much better time an easier vacation. try a value resort. We always go to downtown disney the first day we get there. It doesn't cost to go. and it is a great way to get into the spirit of having fun. go on the WDW web site and get a package deal for resort and park tickets.
lol, your never too old for Disney World. When I was 14, I thought I was too old and wanted to go when I was 5 like everyone in my class but the older you are the more you appreciate and understand everything that goes on there. Well your not going to complete everything in that 1 trip. I tried and I got tired after 3 days. Make sure you get a meal plan to save you money on food and you wont have to limit yourself and your mom to 1 meal a day, because Disney is very expensive. When you first get there I guess take a rest because your going to be there for a week and you arent rushed because its vacation then go visit 1 of the parks or go swimming. Or you could go to Animal Kingdom and watch The Lion King play or the Finding Nemo play (all free) or ride the Safari thing where you sit on the cargo van thing and see the animals they have there. Book your vacation with Disney and if you are tight on cash, stay at pop century. Its a value resort and its very nice. Your going to be spending time at the parks anyway so dont spend $400 a night on a room. Pop Century is about $82 per night but you can negotiate with them to get it lower. I don't care much for the waterpark because its very crowded and hot and you go there to swim. When I went last year, Blizzard Beach was so crowded that they just closed it down to people wanting to come in. I was a little sad. But that can save you about $100 if you dont get it. Pop Century has 3 pools that has a maximum of 20 people in each 1. I recommend getting Park Hopper, I didnt get it last time and it was a dread. I thought that I wanted to spend 1 day at each park to get to know it, since it was our first trip but boy was I wrong. I always seemed to go to the busiest park on that day and knew I was stuck since I can't go to another 1. But with park hopper you have more flexability and get to go to multiple parks. I hope I answered your question and I gave you some other information, incase you might need it. Go to allears.net for more question. Its great, except for I overpacked and didnt see myself needing half of the stuff there.Walt Disney world ages and what to do when we get there and affordable rates?
You are definitely NOT too old! Disney is fun for everyone--even more so if you're willing to let go a little and be a kid again.
If you want to stay onsite, the value resorts are an affordable option. I would recommend staying onsite. You get things like free parking, access to Disney's transportation system, access to Extra Magic Hours, and free package delivery to your resort (if you don't want to carry things that you purchase around the parks). You also have the option of purchasing the dining plan. Besides all that, you get to "stay in the magic". When you stay offsite, it can kind of feel like you have to make a trip back to the "real world" every night.
For a first-timer (or a many-timer, actually), someone who specializes in Disney can be very helpful with getting the best deal, offering tips and recommendations, making dining reservations,etc.. If you would like any help planning a Disney vacation or want a quote, send me a mail or hit the quote page on my agency's website. There's no cost to you and no obligation. We make sure we get you the best deal we can, AND you can benefit from our experience.
