Any resort recommendations or ideas in the Southeast region besides Disney?

Looking for a resort that we can relax at for a week the summer. We have done Disney before so that's out, but I am looking for somewhere similar to Disney. It doesn't have to be as big, but family and budget friendly is a definite plus. Yes, Disney costs a small fortune, but all of the resorts that I have looked into cost much more. Oh, I don't have small children so nothing too young a water park or something along those lines would be right up their alley.
