Do you think Disney Channel is a very good business to get into?

My friend wants to be an actress (like me, although I'm a bit more dedicated) and she wants to audition for Disney Channels shows. I believe that once your in Disney Channel, you can't get out. Not like when Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears were on. More like nowadays. So do you think Disney Channel is a good place to start a career if you want to be in serious movies in the future?Do you think Disney Channel is a very good business to get into?

EDIT: Gray Area and R K u didnt really answer her question...
Whoa, you two are WAY ahead of yourselves. Disney, while a great company, is not going to be a place where either of you will start your careers. The actors you see on Disney have by and large been toiling away building their resumes so that they might get hired on a production that distributes through Disney, or Nick, or ABC Family. The problem is, you, the public, often does not see those actors until they are already somewhat of a name which to you, seems like the beginning of their careers. It is not.

If you want to be in serious movies, big budget movies in the future, you will need serious horsepower and name recognition behind you. The kind that a career at Disney provides. Without it, you are just another no name actor who is worthless to me as a producer. I won't be able to sell a serious film with your name domestically or in the foreign market. What you two need is a thorough understanding of how the business of film works and how that relates to actors. It does not revolve around petty assumptions you two harbor right now.Do you think Disney Channel is a very good business to get into?
most anything your going to go on will be a one shot deal. one film or

one episode. unless it's a pilot for a series, then you might get a contract

for so many episodes. if the pilot doesn't sell that's the end of it. if you get

a role on a series. you will sign a contract for so many episodes and that's your only obligation, when you have done the amount of films you

contracted for your free to leave if you want. worrying about getting stuck on disney is the least of your problems. even getting on anything is the

problem. you could wait months or years for a disney thing to come up that fits your character. if you want to act you will take any job that comes your way and get on your knees and thank god if you get it.
i dont think disney channel would be a good place to start because there will be tons of little kids looking up to u guys and i read that ur 13 rite? yeah well look at miley cyrus, shes really famous, lots of little kids look up to her and she takes all these pictures and every one of those pics are like scandals and she cant have a normal life. well wat im trying to say here is that once ur in disney...they will think of u as an actor for kids and wen ur really famous u will have tons of paparazziDo you think Disney Channel is a very good business to get into?
It may feel like you are stuck on Disney channel, but it only seems that way because we havnt seen too many Disney stars grow up, it does seem like the beat place to start a career if your young though. Come to think of it, Hillary duff grew out of it so hey, it could happen
Disney is a really fun company to work for, sometimes people don't really want to get out.

I think that if you have Disney on your resume it looks really good.

I definitely recommend her going for it.
