Are Disney employees allowed to go anywhere on property even behind the scenes places because they work there?

I know that if I worked at Disney I would be so curious as to everything that happens. Especially behind the scenes places. Do you think that if you worked for Disney and you were as curious as I was you would be allowed to do this? What restrictions do the employees have? Can they go behind the scenes on rides or walk through rides when the park is closed or just before opening? Are Disney employees allowed to go anywhere on property even behind the scenes places because they work there?
I have 2 friends who currently work there: one in Human Resources and another in Advertising. It works kinda like how the government does with "security clearances"... They are allowed to go to different places than us because their job requires them to do so on occasion. But neither of them is allowed everywhere (I can't imagine them being let into an animatronic lab or on a construction site). Basically, the higher up you are in the company, the more free reign you have. Also, when it comes to things like eating in Cinderella's Castle, they have to make reservations just like the rest of us (though they do get a some preferential treatment).
I will tell you one thing about disney in which I found out first hand: what you see is nice, but the behind the stage stuff not so great.

Employees are severely restricted from entering secured areas.
I worked for the rat for a while you do get a tour of the park or area you are going to work at that usually includes a back lot tour of the park. When you work at Magic Kingdom you get to work the back way by disney bus and go right into the utility tunnels that sit below the park. kind of interesting you see characters with no heads not what you think they areAre Disney employees allowed to go anywhere on property even behind the scenes places because they work there?
If you have seen one restaurant kitchen you have seen them all.Your excitement is from the point of view of a customer and not a worker so I wonder if you have had any job.Think of workers at Disney as cowboys on a cattle drive who look at the same landscape and the same herd all the time.It is an institution to mock the guest since they ask when the 3 o'clock parade begins.I will ride my bike when Florida has a cold front and let the herd enjoy the pixie dandruff.
It all depends on your position. I highly doubt any position allows you to freely walk around the parks as you please, but various jobs may require you to go to certain public-restricted areas.
well cast members can go most places. there are some that are still restricted. you can't walk thru rides just for fun. and there is someone working there 24/7.
As a Cast Member, you are allowed in backstage areas of your work area. If you wish to go on a ride without guests (often, they will let cast members ride Space Mountain with the lights on after hours), you have to be invited or know someone who works in that area. Otherwise, it is still off limits to you.
Security hosts can go into most areas. Even they are not allowed in ALL areas.
The only one who can go wherever he wants is Mickey. Even Pluto and Donald are restricted!!
Disney employees can go everywhere on property. though there is not many places you want to be. Most employees are showed everywhere during trainning so there arent many exciting places to view.
