We are looking at a disney world vacation but would like to have some more info on packages. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Family vacations to walt disney world. Where can i get a good package deal?
if you are a family of four disney is offering 49$ night at their value hotels--I don't know if you need to buy the park tix with this promotion--but it is a good deal. I always call Disney directly, I get good deals. Good luck!!
I'm afraid I don't know a lot about official Disney World packages, so my only advice is to be skeptical. Don't assume that you'll save money by going with a package. With high-end parks, especially those like Disney World that are also resorts, you might have more luck traveling "a la carte".

For instance, you might have more luck finding a good hotel and then just driving in to the theme park, avoiding the resort costs.

A good hotel for that is the Holiday Inn Orlando - International Drive. According to their Web site (http://www.hiinternationaldriveorlandoho鈥?/a> ), they're only 10 miles out from Walt Disney World and they've got some good specials. $50 gas card, dining vouchers, that kind of thing.

I can't vouch for the hotel, but it looks very kid-friendly, and you'll definitely spend less than you would staying at a Disney resort, even with a package.Family vacations to walt disney world. Where can i get a good package deal?
I have been searching myself also and have found that disney.com and mousesaver.com are way too expensive. I have found that Expedia.com, yahoo travel and Southwest airlines websites (if you are planning to fly) have family vacation packages for HALF THE COST as the other two!!

I am finding on Disney for, 2 (one adult, one teen) the price will run me about $2,200 to $3,000 on the other sites it is running me about $1,400 to $1,800. I like those savings better. And don't stay at the Disney resorts. Find a hotel that has a free continental breakfast, like Holiday Inn, or one of the Marriott properties (that's one meal you don't have to pay for).

Hope this helps.
You have two real choices. You can do your research and do it yourself, or use a travel agent. One reason to use an agent is for their knowledge. They know the specials, they keep track of the deals. They will handle all of your reservations. On the other hand going to the Disney website is very easy. It's also fun searching the many informative websites out there, like this one, for other people's ideas. Here are a few other sites to try.Family vacations to walt disney world. visit the disney world website. you can customize everything from hotel, to tickets, to add ons like a meal plan, to the flight.

you can get an exact price and there is no obligation to book the package.

When I booked our second trip to WDW I tried a travel agent. They got me no better deals than I could myself. When I used the Disney web site I got the cheapest airfare around. Just use their site.

I would get the dining plan. check out web site below for all Disney menus and prices
