What is the best hotel to stay in when you want to go to Disney World?

I want something cheap, but not ugly. It also must have free breakfast, near Disney World, and possibly have a pool. What is the best hotel to stay in when you want to go to Disney World?

We just got back from Disney World today, and we stayed at one of the Disney resorts (Pop Century Resort). I don't know what you consider cheap, but it was only $109.00 a night. Although that doesn't include breakfast, we just brought something light, (pop tarts, oatmeal, granola bars) and ate in the hotel before we left for the day. The rooms are pretty small, but as a family of 4 it was ok. They have nice pools (3 I believe). Plus, they send you free vouchers like $15 at Planet Hollywood, and a voucher for a FREE 5X7 picture from any pics they take of you at the parks. It is awesome to have the buses for transportation to any of the parks and not hassle with driving. Especially if you are going to Magic Kingdom. At MK If you drive, you have to wait to get on the boat or monorail to take you back to your car, but not if you take the bus back to the resort. Also, you get to enjoy the "Extra Magic Hours", 1 hour early entry, and 3 hours late stay. (Different parks everyday). Get the book "The Unofficial Guide To Disney World" by Bob Sehlinger (Amazon.com $13.00) It has ALL you need to know about WDW!!! There are so many good hotels near Disney, including the Disney hotels themselves, but I can recommend one I stayed at a few weeks ago. It's the Radisson Resort at Celebration. They have a wonderful restaurant with free breakfast buffet (and not just a continental-type "grab a muffin" thing, this was good stuff). Included an omelet chef making omelets to order. They have multiple pools -- a large unheated one (fine during the day, but a little chilly at night), a good-sized heated one, a kiddie pool, and a 104 degree hot tub. Pools were open till 11 PM. They have a boatload of daily activities. While we were there they had movies at the pool, games to play like ping-pong, scavenger hunts, DJ's, free tokens for the arcade, and lots of other things we never got to do because we were at the parks. :(

The rooms were clean and I never had to call for extra towels (which are provided at the pool, by the way), parking was tolerable, though there were some rather dark areas of the big parking lot. The landscaping was beautiful and lush and I felt safe there. The staff was polite and attentive. The walls must be extremely soundproofed because I never heard a peep from another room, just some people in the halls. Oh, and the beds in our room were Sleep Number double beds (but I guess there are some rooms that don't have those -- you should ask if you decide to stay here).

They provide a free shuttle bus to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. It's a big tour type bus so they can fit a LOT of people on it. It makes several runs a day so you could come back to your room in the middle of the day, if you wanted.

Rates were decent but not "cheap," but with the wonderful and tasty on-site breakfast and free shuttle to the parks, I feel that the added cost was WELL worth it. I highly recommend this hotel!

Well, there are many resorts(hotels) iside of Disney, those will be the best ones to stay at. Cheap? Try one of the Value Resorts. Pop Century is a great one! They are all themed!

Every resort inside of Disney will have Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They all have at least 1 or 2 pools. If you're insterested, try www.waltdisneyworld.com for resort questions.
Go to www.expedia.com and click on hotels. Fill in the date you plan to visit, and the location. You will get a list of hotels in that area, as well as pictures, prices, and guest reviews. I use it when planning a vacation. It really helps. Good luck and have a great time in Orlando.
Do yourself a HUGE favor, and stay at one of the WDW Value resorts! You will save time, you will save $ on gas / parking because they provide transportation, you will benefit from extra magic hours at the parks, AND you will have access to ALL WDW resorts pools / recreation / restaurants. You can even get a small refrigerator!
try hotelkingdom.com

There is a large list of hotels with descriptions and amenities, and they have some really great deals.
OK for starters Disney hotels are not cheap...I recommend places like double tree or the Marriott, they also provide transportation...I worked at Disney for about a year and I have never put friends or family in Disney hotels because even with discounts I wouldn't want to pay.lol. I am very cheap...just about every hotel has pools in Flordia...try to find on on International drive, that area is very convenient as far as food, Kmart, outlet stores, etc...
Pop Century is GREAT
