How does Disney World verify ages of children?

We are taking our son who JUST turned 11 to Disneyworld. The ticket cut-off prices were at 10.

The ticket prices actually cut off at 10, meaning a child is age 3-9, and 10+ is an adult.



So, your son did not JUST miss the cutoff, he's been an adult (as far as WDW is concerned) for a little over a year.



They will ask the child how old he is at the turnstiles.



Do you want to teach your son that it's ok to lie in order to save some money?
Personally I've never lied about my child's age to get into anything. If I tried to lie or even misspoke my daughter's age as younger, she would automatically correct me. Kids are proud of their age, and wouldn't want to say they were younger. To lie in front of them or tell them to lie is not setting a good example to your son - I know it seems harmless %26amp; maybe silly to you, but I personally would not say my child is younger than they really are, especially in front of them.

Think about how that makes them feel %26amp; how it really teaches them to lie to get things. As much money as you're going to spend at Disney World, is a few $ for tickets really going to be that much of a savings???????How does Disney World verify ages of children?
No, you don't have to provide proof of age. Most likely, they will simply ask you how old your child is. Then obviously, you would have to lie to them. And if they suspect you are lying, what they will often do is ask the child his age. In which case, the child usually is not taught to lie, so they tell the truth. That's how they catch you.



Everybody else pays the correct price, you should too.
I don't believe so. They can't expect you to have proof of age on you since your son is young enough that most kids his age don't have an ID unless they fly frequently. I'd say that you might want to ask yourself how old your eleven year old looks though. If he looks older than he is - prepare to pay full price.How does Disney World verify ages of children?
Sadly yes......they have the age on the ticket so if they see it is for a child and you clearly are an adult they wont let you in and when purchasing tickets for a specifiic person they need to see photo id or birth certificate
I dont think so my parents used to do it to me (lie about my age) as i was small, when i went to Disneyworld i dont think they checked ages with me when i went at the age of 12
No they don't ask. If he can pass for a 9 year old, which is the cut off age, do it. I did it with my son until he was turning 12. No one ever asked.
lie and say he's 10, they can't check,if he looks 10 he'll pass easy. Red
