This is specifically how a Disney character audition goes:
About 400 people will show up. You will be seperated into groups. Each group will be put into a line, where someone will come along the line and look at everyone. You won't be asked to do a thing but to stand there. From looks alone, they will pull out a few people from each group to go onto round 2. Most people will be cut in round one based on their look not being versatile enough.
You do not do singing %26amp; dancing auditions, these are for people who have worked their way up in training. The open call character auditions are for meet %26amp; greets only. You will not be a performer. If you are cast as a meet %26amp; greet character, you can then train with Disney to be a performer. Performers are in the shows %26amp; parades. So you won't need to worry about anything besides your look %26amp; personality at your audition.
If you are pulled into further auditions, that is when they will sit %26amp; interview you. In this part, you should try your best to be calm yet outgoing. Be yourself 100%. Remember that cast members are almost never cast to play one character. They cast people who have versatile looks %26amp; personalities, so that they can play multiple characters within the week. They never know if they will need you to be Snow White one day, or be Belle in the evening. So try to show off a versatility in any way you can. Don't overdo makeup %26amp; hairstyles - just be as simple as possible so they can really see your potential to be various characters.
Princesses are cast between 5'4-5'7. Your hair color doesn't matter, as every princess wears a wig due to Florida humidity. Good skin %26amp; teeth are a must. Don't have any piercings in, as you won't be able to wear any of them as a character. No visible tattoo's are also a rule. Best of luck to you =-)Tips on becoming a Disney Princess at Disney World?

Tips on becoming a Disney Princess at Disney World? When I auditioned we had to do quite a bit of animating. tips to think about.
How would this character walk.
How would she smile.
What are his/her hand gestures, posture.
Then you will have a dance audition. Usually its quite up beat using full body and again you will have to animate during the routine. They may ask you to repeat this routine over and over again at different speeds to the music. No doubt for face characters, you will do some sort of waltz.
If you pass these two stages, you will then have a fitting. You will try on wigs of various characters. If your face fits the characters wig, then you are likely to pass. you may think you look like a certain character but if your face doesn't suit the wig you may not get approved.
My audition was quite fun. Just be yourself, have fun and above all keep smiling!! It's a really "cheesy" audition. I didn't work at Disney World but I hear the auditions are very similar. GOOD LUCK!!
