How much does it cost for a minimal disney cruise?

The disney cruise website is a joke. I would appreciate real info from real people. Thanks. How much does it cost for a minimal disney cruise?
The absolute cheapest fares I see for Disney are 3 night sailings in the fall for $399, and 4 nights for $499. Those charges are per person, based on double occupancy. Port charges depend on where the ship goes, but they will be extra - should be pretty minimal on a cruise that short. Tips will also be extra, and parking at the port, shore excursions, etc.

The cost can vary greatly depending on the number of travelers, the travel date, the cabin category (this makes a big difference), etc. The prices shown on the Disney website are basically the same prices that you will find anywhere else. We have gone on multiple Disney cruises and I have spent hours researching prices and they are all basically the same. Depending on your needs, you can usually subract ground transportation and sometimes vacation insurance from Disney's quote. Don't forget to figure in the money that you will need to spend for tips at the end of the cruise (usually roughly around $100 per family) and, if you will use them, shore excursions. The biggest way that we have found to save money is by purchasing an inside cabin. Believe me, you have plenty of ocean views on-board the ship! But the Disney cruises are well worth the money. We have traveled other lines, with and without children, and Disney is by far superior. It would be like comparing a trip to Disney World to a trip to the local fair. Good luck and have fun on your trip! How much does it cost for a minimal disney cruise?
The Disney Cruise Line is expensive--it's supply and demand and it's most simple. Disney only has two cruise ships (third will come next year) compared to say Carnival--which has 22 ships. Combine that with the "Disney Experience" and...presto...ability to charge a premium price.

There are basically four ways to get the best "deals" on Disney.

1) Be a Florida Resident

2) Be in the Military--or retired from the Military

3) Hop on "Kids Sail Free" promotion--if and when they happen. These have happened the last two years on select Wonder sailings during the winter and early spring months, and currently on some Magic sailings in Europe.

4) As suggested below--sail right after kids are back in school for lowest general rates.

Lastly you'll want to find a travel agent who specializes in Disney. Though Disney does not allow discounting on their cruise product, most Disney cruise agents give additional onboard credits to help offset your costs at least a a little. There are also little tricks to getting the lowest interior pricing (category 12 guaranty) that only experienced agents will know.

It's a great vacation! Good Luck~
Uhh..a joke? Are you serious? The website is very helpful and informative!

And obviously I can't tell you how much it costs--I don't know how many people are going or for how long, duh!

Just look on the website or call them.
