1st trip to disney world would like to great tips on places to stay, things to do, and eat.I need help planning a great trip to disney for 2 teenage boys?
Go to tripadvisor.com, a free site with lots of tips and discounts for all travels. The Orlando forum is the place to ask questions. They will know it all.
Depending on how much time and money you have, after Disney's four parks, there is their two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon has a swim with the sharks and rays area that is now included it the price, Blizzard Beach is our favorite. Medieval Times is a great dinner theater that has jousting, sword fights, horses, knaves, wenches, prince, king, etc. Capone's dinner theater is nice, usually have a buy one get one coupon online or in the store fronts. Gatorland Zoo is great if they like reptiles. Downtown Disney has Quest a gamers paradise. Good luck.
You can get lots of help and ideas by watching the free Disney vacation planning DVD, they provide. Log on to www.disneyworld.com and order yours, watch it with your family, and decide what's best for you. This DVD will also explain the perks of staying on site at the Disney resort vs. staying off-property. It's also a good way to get better ideas for what your boys will be interested in, once they arrive.
Staying on site really gives you the best of everything. Including the option to upgrade your ticket to include a meal plan which can save you up to 30% on in-park dining. Good luck and have fun!I need help planning a great trip to disney for 2 teenage boys?
If you don't mind staying off site then look at the seralago hotel. It has 2 room suite that consists of 2 double beds in one room and double pull out sofa along with a murphy bed. The pool is open until midnight and they are right next door to Old Town. You can check out there website at seralagohotel.com and oldtown.com. They offer free transportation to disney and then you can use disney shuttles to get around. The other option would be the family suite in Music resort, any of the villas, or you can check out the animal kingdom lodge which offers bunk beds all the moderate resorts offer 2 queen size beds and if your boys are like mine they are not going to sleep in the same bed unless you glue them there.
First you need to decide if you will stay at one of Disney's hotels. If you do, you can use Disney's free transportation system to get everywhere in Disney. Otherwise, you will need a car. There are lots of Disney hotels which are quite affordable.
Then, there are four Disney parks and two water parks. So you will need to decide how many days you are going and which parks you want to go to. This will help you to decide which tickets you want to buy.
Since you are just starting, I would highly recommend buying a guidebook - Birnbaum's is a good starter book. Also, I recommend http://www.allearsnet.com It is the best planning website I have found.I need help planning a great trip to disney for 2 teenage boys?
