How will Universal Studios parks be affected by Disney's acquistion of Marvel Comics?

Some of Universal Studios Orlando's biggest attractions are Marvel based, such as The Hulk rollercoaster and the Spider-Man attraction. I doubt if Disney is going to allow their direct competitor to maintain those attractions.How will Universal Studios parks be affected by Disney's acquistion of Marvel Comics?
The Orlando Sentinel had an article about the contract. The contract is basically that Universal has exclusive rights to use the characters in perpetuity, as long as they maintain the Marvel Island. If they rethemed the island, they would have to retheme everything. But I can't imagine that they would consider that for an extremely long time, if ever. So what they have, they will keep.

That's the first thing I thought about when I read the story. I'm not sure what will happen either, but I'm willing to bet if Universal had to change Marvel Superhero Island there would be a big uproar. If anything is going to happen, it will be newsworthy I'm sure, so just keep an eye out for news stories.

From what I have been reading seems like Marvel's contract expired with Universial studio's at the end of 07. Universial stopped sending out spider man, dr doom, and the X-men starting january of 08. Right now alot of links are saying disney will give them two options a) pay naming rights to keep things open. Which it seems universial will not do this. or b) drop it all together. Only time will really tell but great move on disney behalf to buy this company. I would love to see Spider man at hollywood studio's. I cannot figure out what universial would do with that area though. They just spent a large amount of money in the new Harry Potter area and are having $$ issues with steven speilberg. (sorry for the spelling) we will see. i love islands of adventure.
