We are going to Disney next month. We are planning to take a backpack with us in the parks to keep some snacks, the guide book and a camcorder. We are a couple and want to ride together. However, we have no idea about what to do with our backpack ?In any Disney park, Where to leave our backpacks while on a ride ?
I always take my backpack on rides at Disney or Six Flags. If theres not a pouch thing to stick it in, I just put one of my legs through a strap and set it on the floor of the ride. On the rides where your legs hang at Six Flags I'd normally just leave it in the cubbies they have to leave stuff in though. I don't think Disney has any rides where your legs hang though, so you would be fine just sticking your leg through a strap. If it gets to be too much of a hassle, you can rent a locker, which would come in handy if you plan to buy souvenirs that wont fit in your backpack.
You can take your bag with you on the rides. Some of the more motion-intense rides have a mesh pouch somewhere to put your bag in to make sure it doesn't fall out.In any Disney park, Where to leave our backpacks while on a ride ?
As you enter the park, there is a center that rents wheelchairs, baby strollers etc. This is where they also rent lockers to store your possessions. Unfortunately, it's near the entrance as I said. There is no other way that I know of. Most people take it on the ride. Usually, it's not a problem as I have done this many times.
That is why we stopped carrying back packs, we joined the nerd pack and wear fanny packs. They hold our digital camera, small snacks like cheese sticks and beef sticks, gum etc. I do a spread sheet from the guide book and carry only that each day.
But to answer your question there are lockers in every park, usually just as you enter. Most rides accommodate smaller back packs between you are at your feet. The danger of the camcorder getting wet or damaged is a different concern. In any Disney park, Where to leave our backpacks while on a ride ?
Unless you put it in a locker you will need to place in on the floor, or somewhere. They do not have backpack babysitting areas anywhere
I just came back from disney and two of us carried backpacks through the parks and we took them on all the rides. most rides have a mesh pocket were you can place your bag.
I had the same question and called Disney about it. A lot of the rides have places actually on the ride that you can place or store your backpack. If not there is always a place once you enter the ride area such as cubbies to store your belongings. But most of the time, we just carried our stuff on the ride with us.
It's not Six Flags. The rides aren't going to send your backpacks flying over the moon. Like everyone said, you can just take them on the ride with you. Even on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror you can do that, but hang on tight!
