What are some fun rides at Disney World?

I'm helping to plan the family trip to Disney World this summer. We have never been but a close friend of mine has. She was informing me about rides and attractions but I would also like to learn about the hotels, service, and food. We are planning on staying in the moderate hotel(not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either)and we want to have character meals. Any information on good (or bad) rides (ages 9 to 12 and for parents), fun or lame attractions, hotels, service, food, and helpful hints will be appreciated! Thanks! What are some fun rides at Disney World?

Hotels:

If you want to go to a moderate resort, my favorite is Port Orleans Riverside. Very nice and has nice views of the lakes. It has a nice pool too. :)

Character Meals:

Cinderella's Royal Table (Keep in mind girls like this better than boys because of the princesses. If you want a reservation at this restaurant you have to make them SUPER early. Call Disney and make your reservation ASAP! Btw, this one peoplelove because it is inside Cinderella Castle.)

Akershus (This is another one girls like better than boys becuase of the princesses.)

Chef Mickey's

Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House

1900 Park Faire (Girls like this better than boys usually, but its not all princesses like the other ones. It includes Cinderella, Prince Charming, Mary Poppins, and Alice in Wonderland, etc.)

Those are some of my favorites, but there are others. Go to the Disney World website to see them all. Keep in mind character meals are more expensive than regular meals.

Other:

You may also want to try Disney's two water parks cuz they are VERY fun too. They are called Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Laggon. Hope I helped! Good luck! :)What are some fun rides at Disney World?

There are lots of places to eat in Disney. Beware some are pretty pricey! Pizza Planet at Hollywood Studios would be a fun place to take your family for lunch. Disney also has a variety of healthy and vegetarian meals. Enjoy your trip. I'm going in a few months. Disney is the best place to take your family. Trust me you will not regret this vacation.
