I wanna do something that will impact the world. I am still young and I have quite a bit of talent my acting teacher says... I'm great in animation, but I wanna make a famous theme-park resort like disney world, it greatly influences me, but I want someone to help me get there even if it means partnering up.How did Walter Disney make Walt Disney World famous?
Walt Disney did many things to make Disney World famous, though he did not live enough to see the park open. Mostly, it was viewed as a second Disneyland, though Walt had much bigger plans, which have held up to the test of time.
With Disneyland, which he WAS alive for during the 1st 12陆 years of operation, Walt provided something that people could not find anywhere else. Amusement parks of the day were dirty places with rigged midway games and rude employees. Rides were either geared towards adults or children -- not both. Walt wanted to open a theme park (NOT an amusement park) where parents and children could have fun together.
Using his program on ABC, he was able to show the construction of Disneyland. ABC, in exchange for the programming, invested money in Walt's big idea. Against the advice of his brother Roy's advice, Walt borrowed against his life insurance policy (Roy was the money man). He risked everything on opening Disneyland, and it paid off.
From his humble beginnings in Missouri, Walt lived the American Dream, and people respected that. He poured his heart and soul into everything he did, and was the consummate perfectionist. If it wasn't right, it wasn't ready to be seen.
On opening day in 1955, counterfeit tickets resulted in massive overcrowding, the blacktop was not dry and, in the hot weather, heels sunk into it.
Funniest opening day story in my opinion:
Back in '55, L.A. did not have the freeway system. Walt picked Anaheim based on studies that showed it as a future center of population meaning land was cheap then, and people would soon live nearby. People traveled for hours and hours to get to Disneyland. On arrival in the parking lot, many kids who had been "holding it" for quite some time decided that they could hold it no more.
Roy Disney was out there at the time. He had been scared to death that nobody was going to show up. He was so thrilled at seeing that Walt's idea really was going to work that, when a worker came up to him to ask what to do about all the kids relieving themselves in the parking lot, Roy's response was: "God bless 'em, let 'em pee!"
All in all, you just have to provide something that cannot be gotten anywhere else. Even in today's age of many theme parks, only Disney parks have that undefinable "Magic." Hold on to your dreams, don't listen to naysayers, and be ready to lay everything on the line to make it happen. And when it does, drop me a line. I spent years working at Disneyland so I know a thing or two about how it runs. And though I was too young to work with Walt, I wouldn't mind working with the next incarnation of dreamer.
Good luck! I wish you success in this!
He is the master of animation lol.
No but really .. he had the first full length animated feature with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937. He started off with not a lot %26amp; he failed a couple of times with previous jobs/companies/ideas.But he kept trying and ...
From there tons more Disney movies were made %26amp; He wanted a family-friendly park and his dreams came true with A LOT of hard work, imagination, creativity, talent, magic :] and money.
Disney World/Disney Land is the first %26amp; only park like itself. It is amazing %26amp; magical.
He made great characters, movies, songs %26amp; parks obviously lol.
He is one of a kind %26amp; impacted culture so so so so much !
So basically have a dream,creativity,ambition,original ideas !
Disney is the best place ever by the way lol :]
sorry im freakishly obsessed with Disney World/Disney movies. lol
hope this helps !How did Walter Disney make Walt Disney World famous?
Well, first he made money drawing cartoons for someone else. Then formed his own company and received the first Oscar for an animated movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
He was frustrated with the amusement parks available to his nieces and nephews so he developed Disney Land as a place where parents and children could get "into the scene" or more appropriately, enjoy the experience together.
Although Walt was not alive when Disney World opened, he did the master plan and envisioned the entire project up until EPCOT which he thought was the Environmental Protected City Of Tomorrow.
Great Question and a very worthwhile goal!
First of all, Walt Disney came to Los Angeles, California, in the 1920's to become a film maker as well as to produce animated short subject motion pictures. He was not alone in his endeavors. His older brother, Roy, worked along with Walt Disney to help his brother's dreams come true. As the Disney Brothers began to prosper with their short subjects, especially due to the popularity of Mickey Mouse, they were able to purchase their own studio where they produced Walt's first full-length animated feature, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." The success of this motion picture enabled the Disney Brothers to purchase their studio property in Burbank, California; from where they expanded their production into several motion picture features and later, in the 1950's, television shows. Walt Disney continued to be the creative genius of the enterprise and Roy was the financial entity behind the company. It took the Disney Brothers years of hard work and a lot of determination to build the Disney legacy.
Walt's dream of Disneyland came into fruition in the 1950's and was an immediate hit among Californians. It was promoted on the Disneyland television program and soon it became an international tourist attraction. The success of Disneyland in California prompted the company to plan Walt Disney World in Florida and the rest, as they say, is history. How did Walter Disney make Walt Disney World famous?
I don't think it can get any better than the original Disneyland and all the Disneyworld's around the world, including Florida!! Maybe you should go work for Disney Co. and help them develop a new Disney themed amusement park such as Epcot, Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios, Magic Kingdom, along with your theme-park idea!!
Amusement parks weren't common at the time and it was a really big deal when Disney opened
