Seralago Hotel %26amp; Suites Main Gate East is a very nice hotel with very affordable prices. There are a lot of fun things there like pools, a playground, free nightly movies at their own theater and more. There are mini-fridges and microwaves in every room (will save a little money on food, great for eating breakfast before going to the parks). It is just a few minutes from Disney World and has complimentary shuttle service to Disney World (with three scheduled departures and three scheduled returns daily). You can check it out here:

Since you are obviously trying to take a Disney World vacation on a budget, have you considered staying in a Disney World value resort? Transportation is free throughout the resort and runs all day, not just on a strict schedule. Plus you get great perks as a Disney World resort guest like Extra Magic Hours (one park per day either opens an hour early or closes up to three hours late for Disney resort guests only) and Magical Express (if you fly into Orlando International Airport Disney will pick you AND your bags up, then take you back to the airport after your stay for FREE). It's worth looking into. I'm assuming it's you and your husband and four kids? In that case, Disney's All-Star Music Resort (one of the four value resorts) has suites available that sleep six; that's the only way you could stay in a value resort with that many people in your group (unless you and your husband split the kids and book two rooms, which I doubt you'd want to do on a family vacation). Here is a link to check out Disney's All-Star Music Resort; you can also play with vacation package options on this website to get prices:

I agree that staying at a Disney Resort is essential to being a part of the Disney magic. It's well worth the few extra dollars you'll spend!

Anybody stay in a decent affordable hotel near Disney world that provides shuttle service to Disney?I would highly recommend your family stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel rather than somewhere else in Orlando. The value resorts are reasonably priced (around $90-130 per night) and offer a lot of great services that are not available at other hotels. Disney has great bus transportation from the hotels to each of the theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney. Their buses come about every 20 minutes so you will not have to wait very long at all. The problem I have found with other hotels near Disney is that even though they have bus service, they only run the buses at the most every few hours. So at the end of a long day in the park, you may have to wait in the parking lot for a long time for a ride home. Disney also offers Extra Magic Hours to its guests, which is where you get to play in the park an hour early or up to three hours after closing. You can also have any souvenir you purchase delivered right to your hotel room, without having to carry them around. Nothing can beat staying right in the middle of the magic, your family will love it.
To be perfectly honest, stay at a Disney resort. The benefits outweigh the minimal savings you think you'll get staying off property. The value resorts are quite affordable and there are suites at the All Star Movies which would suit your needs perfectly.
Staying at a Disney resort will get you complimentary transportation (airport-WDW and back) as well as on site. You will have access to the extra magic hours.Anybody stay in a decent affordable hotel near Disney world that provides shuttle service to Disney?
I have tried to beat the deals Disney offers for there complete packages and have not been able to in years.
Visit the disney website and sign up, they will email you about specials and package promotions that cannot be beat.
I recently saw a deal for 5 days that included hotel, tickets to the parks, transportation and a meal plan for a family of 4 for about $1400. wished i had the money to book it. Also if you book thru Disney they have a great payment plan that makes it a lot easier to go.
Have fun!
argh, don't do it. Stay at a disney resort. Shuttles from off site hotels are horrid. They stop at several hotels before going on to 2/3 parks. They don't run late at night, so if you check out the fireworks you may find yourself stuck at a park (happen to us and 15 other people, they never sent another bus to pick us up, the last bus was so full people were standing on the bus steps). They don't let you off near the gate. You walk from a side parking lot. There is no shade to wait for the shuttle bus. They are over crowded. You will waste a lot of time getting to and from the parks staying off site.
stay at a Disney value resort.
