What other costs can you encounter at Disney World (and other attractions) other than entrance?

We will be on holiday in the US next year in March and are trying to finalize our budget. We will be visiting the 4 Disney World theme parks, the 2 Universal studios theme parks and Sea World for one day. Excluding the entry tickets, and refreshments, what other costs are we likely to encounter at these various theme parks? Can you take refreshments in to the theme parks and if not, what are the prices like inside the theme parks? What other costs can you encounter at Disney World (and other attractions) other than entrance?
The only extra expenses you can not avoid are:

- food

- parking/transportation

---%26gt; You didn't say where you were staying but you should verify with your hotel that any provided transportation is free, that would include the airport transportation to/from the hotel. If you are renting a car you will have to pay parking.

Additional avoidable expenses:

- souveniers

- backstage tours, feeding animals, extra events not included in theme park admission price

You can bring snacks and bottled water into the theme parks. If you stay at a Disney hotel you will receive free transportation to/from the airport and free transportation to/from the Disney theme parks. If you stay at a Disney hotel and drive you will get free parking at the Disney theme parks. Please be aware though, Disney does not provide transportation to the outside parks (Universal and Sea World).
Food: Food is the most expensive aspect of Disney. Contrary to some of the previous posters, food and water CAN be taken into the park. I would recommend taking a look at the menus before hand to budget what you think you'll spend.

Menus for all Disney vendors and restaurants can be found here: http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm.

Menus for all Universal Studios vendors: http://allears.net/uni/menu/menus.htm

Menus for all Sea World vendors: http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/swmenus.html

If you want something a bit more structured, I would get the Disney Dining Plan. To my knowledge however, all Dining Packages include park Magic Your Way park tickets. Still worth a look here: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/benefits/disney-dining-plan/

Parking for Disney is $12 per day, free for park guests (as they can use the Disney shuttle).

Universal Studios parking is $12.00 per vehicle ($17 for RVs - Recreational Vehicles) until 5:00 p.m. General parking after 5:00 p.m. is $10.00.

Sea World Parking is $9 for cars, vans and motorcycles, $10 for RV's and trailers.

Aside from souvenirs, I have survived a whole day at Disney with 3 bottles of water that I buy at a local gas station for 89 cents, and $25 for food. Cut down on impulse buying, reserve $20-$25 for souvenirs per child, and plan your meals and you should have a sound budget. What other costs can you encounter at Disney World (and other attractions) other than entrance?
Food will be your biggest cost.

Food is very expensive inside the parks compared to eating outside the parks. You are allowed to bring small bags into theparks and you can also check out meal plans depending on where your staying.

Universal has a great one.. you pay 30 per person and get unlimited food all day and 3 specific restaurants (3 in Universal, 3 in Islands of Adventure)

If you do Disney, book with the Meal Plan if you plan on eating all your meals inside.

Bring water bottles that you can refill at the water fountains because it's about $3.50 a bottle.

Sea World i think has a meal plan but it's close to International drive so I would recommend just eating dinner at a restaurant out there as opposed to inside the park.

Hope this helps ! :)
Souveniers are one of the costs you can expect. Parking and feeding of animals are a couple of others.

You are not allowed to take food into the parks and they do have security lines that will check bags as you enter, but if you put some snacks at the bottom with your jackets, guidbooks, hats, cameras, etc on top of them, chances are good that they will get in.

Food costs are pretty pricey once inside the park, but I have no comparison to give you never having gone to any theme parks in Europe.......What other costs can you encounter at Disney World (and other attractions) other than entrance?
There are only extra costs if you want their to be. You're allowed to bring in drinks and snacks into the parks but nothing is allowed in a glass container or anything containing alcohol, that they will make you throw away.

Drinkings can cost anywhere from $2 to $12 if you get any of their souveneir cups.

Other than the park entrance fees, and food if you don't bring it with you, souveneirs are the only extra thing you will have to pay for for Disney. At Disney some cast members may ask if you want your pictures taken, these are for free and you can view them online and purchase them when you get back home if you want.

At Sea World if you want to feed any of the animals, their food is an extra cost depending on what type of food you're buying.
Parking at Universal and Disney is $14 per day. Still $12 for Sea World I think. (If you are driving.)

A basic meal inside the parks is around $8 per person.

Sea World if you would like to feed Dolphins, Stingray, sea lions, They are about $7 each for several small fish in a tray.

You can take your own water bottles to the parks and snacks.
At Disney nothing. Your food and your souvenirs. But all rides/shows/attractions are included in your ticket price. We got our tickets and the dining package last year. We hardly spent any other money there. IF you are driving and NOT at a disney resort you will have parking fees.

check out below site for all Disney menus and prices.
I just returned yesterday from and four day stay in Orlando. I had no problem at all taking water and snacks into the park and would highly recommend it. I took a few apples and several packs of sandwich crackers. I do not believe large coolers are permitted. Gifts and souvenirs will obviously cost you extra and can be very expensive at the parks themselves. I would suggest buying t-shirts and small gifts at one of the billion other shops that litter the Orlando area because they are cheaper.

Inside the parks you will mainly find food costs between $8-$15 per person for actual meals. Water is $2.50 and other beverages like soda, sports drinks, and beer are $3-$6. Snack stands are everywhere and sell things lite hot pretzels, fruit, corn dogs, and ice cream for $3-$6.

Sea-World offers an All-U-Can-Eat deal which we found to be worth the cost. If you plan to spend the entire day at the park you will eat at least twice. It costs $29.95 per adult and a bit less for children 9 and under. They offer entrees, salads, desserts, fresh fruit, and drinks at several restaurants around the park.

Other than food, there are always a few attractions with an extra cost attached. Sea-World has several Interactive animal experiences that cost extra, however if you are only spending one day at the park, I doubt you will have time to even fit them into the schedule. They also have a Sky Tower which is a slow moving attraction that gives a birds eye view of the park and surrounding area. This is $3 per person. There are carnival games and photo stands in most parks as well. They will take pictures of you on rides and at key locations around the park and you can purchase print packages. Disney offers a variety of ways to meet and greet with the Characters, some of which cost and some that are free.

Transportation can cost as well depending on where you are staying if you haven't rented a car. If you are staying in Disney, you will get to their parks for free, but will need transportation to Sea-World and Universal. If you are staying off property without a car there are several ways to get around. The I-Ride trolleys are great if you are staying on international drive and can get you to Sea-World and Universal. Most resorts offer shuttle service to and from parks. Most will offer a free shuttle to some and make you pay for another. For example our hotel had a free shuttle to Sea-World , Universal, and Wet 'n Wild, but charged $12 per person round trip to Disney.

I would suggest budgeting a minimum of $30 per person/per day at a park. That does not include getting to, parking, and entering the parks.

Hope this helps.
