I got the rides down all I need is to find a place to stay in Disney World. What hotel should I stay in and Why?What hotel should I stay at in Disney World?
It depends on what you are willing to spend!
If youre on a budget but want to have a great time:
Pop Century Resort! It's my favorite value resort, and from my experiences the best! It is nicely themed, and there's much to do.
Moderate Resort: My Port Orleans: riverside or French quarter! They're both great for families, they have a cute country theme, the food courts are clean just like the rooms.
If your looking to spend a little extra and make your stay even more memorable, I suggest the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian resorts. They are both beautifullllll! Grand Flordian is gorgeous, and there's many restaraunts located there, like 1900 Park Fare, Citrico's, etc. On the Polynesian resort, you can watch the magic kingdom fireworks from the beach, and the theme is very cute. If you stay here, you HAVE to stop by O'hana, especially if you have kids!
HAVE FUN!
You never said how much cash you are willing to spend on a hotel. Of course, the value resorts are going to be not as nice (still ok) but really cheap. The deluxe hotels are going to be very very nice and expensive. I have only ever stayed at deluxe resorts, and they are so worth it. The Grand Floridian is probably the top notch hotel in WDW. It's incredibly classy. If you like to spend time at the pool, I'd recommend the Yacht and Beach Club, as they have a very nice pool area. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is also very nice, but it is the furthest away from everything. I'd recommend a hotel in the Epcot area, as they are in the middle of the property, like the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach, or Swan and Dolphin. What hotel should I stay at in Disney World?
How much money do you have? I mean, you can stay in the Grand Floridian in a suite, but most of us don't have that kind of cash. It would help to know what tier you are able to afford - value, moderate, deluxe, etc. If you have the money, I particularly like the Polynesian just for the theming and because it is on the monorail, but it's pricey. The value resorts are very simple and basic and are fine to stay in if you are on a budget. The moderate resorts are nicer and have a few more amenities. The deluxe have even more amenities. Then the vacation club resorts have more home-away-from-home suites and villas.
If money were not an issue, I'd pick the Contemporary Resort. It's a 10 minute walk to the Magic Kingdom (MK), and that is where I spend most of my time. I will be staying at Wilderness Lodge when I go in September, and while you can't walk to the MK, there are both buses and boats to get there quickly.
For my Sept. trip, my aunt and I are going to primarily be going to the MK and Epcot. Neither of us are HUGE fans of Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, and we'll probably be doing both of those parks in one day. A MUST for us this trip is the opening ceremonies at MK (if you've never seen it, I HIGHLY recommend it!!), so after looking at prices for our package, we came to the conclusion that the close proximity of Wilderness Lodge to the MK was WELL worth the extra $300 per person (for 5-day park hopper tickets) over the moderate resort. (Value resorts weren't an option. I'm not picky, but my aunt is a Disney Vacation Club member and put her foot down on the value resorts.)
Staying off property is also an option, but Disney charges $15 a day for parking, so make sure to add that to your nightly charge if you do look off-property.)What hotel should I stay at in Disney World?
How much time will you spend at the hotel? Will you only be there to sleep and eat? Do you have your own car? You can spend $500 a day or I am sure you could find some place for under $50. Google or yahoo the very many websites and you can pick and choose.
WHY is up to you.
It really depends on your situation. We have stayed a number of times at one of the Value Resorts and then once at a Moderate.
We don't tend to spend much time in the room so those places work out well. The only thing is, we have learned to rent a car while there. We don't like to be tied down to DW transportation.
If you could add some information all of us could help you a bit more.
